The Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville Is Growing the Jewish Community
Together, we continue to grow our Jewish Community by offering opportunities to connect, support, and inspire. With your generous support, we are able to continue to build a resilient, strong, and vibrant Jewish community, here in greater Nashville, in Israel, and around the world.
Who We Are
About the Jewish Federation of Greater Nashville
Every day, the Federation helps Jewish life thrive in Nashville, in Israel and in 70 countries around the world.
The Jewish Federation is a living manifestation of the fundamental Talmudic principle Kol Yisrael – that each Jew is responsible one for the other. Both through our own direct work and through our network of beneficiary agencies and international partners, we can quickly identify emerging needs, share information, and mobilize a rapid response.
Never has the need for Federation resources been clearer than in the past few years when we have joined together to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, then the crisis in Ukraine and most recently to the ongoing war in Israel in the aftermath of the brutal terrorist attacks of October 7th. And never has the strength of the Federation been clearer than in those responses, locally, nationally, and globally.
Moving forward, we will continue to evolve our response to community needs in new and non-traditional ways, focusing on new community impact areas. We will utilize data-driven program evaluation so we know what works and what doesn’t, and we will shape our funding priorities
accordingly.
Whether through newcomer outreach, work to draw in those who are unaffiliated, attempts to educate our members about key issues, mission trips, or just hosting events and spaces where our full community can gather together, we continually strive to provide vital resources to the broader Nashville Jewish community, both independently and in partnership. Together, our volunteers and staff show a passion for the Federation and its mission that is touching and remarkable. We look forward to being in community with you.
