Each year, The Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee is able to support an extraordinary network of programs through our Annual Campaign.  More than 1,800 Middle Tennessee donors display their commitment to the Jewish community through generous contributions making possible the allocation of over $ 2.6 million to human services in Nashville, Israel and around the world.

Campaign dollars support community-building efforts; in addition, grants from our Jewish Foundation of Nashville fund the start up of innovative and creative programs enhancing services to seniors, Jewish education and critical volunteer and professional human resources without which our community could not function.

This past year has seen significant developments within the Jewish Federation itself, including:

* Launching www.jewishnashville.org, Federation’s new Website in cooperation with the United Jewish Communities, and Federation’s ability to assist its partner organizations in more capably marketing their message through the use of information technology.

* Engaging its Board in refining its mission and finding ways to more effectively engage community members and donors.

* Sponsoring a leadership development program.

* Sending and hosting delegations to and from Hadera-Eiron, our Partnership 2000 community in Israel.

* Establishing new outreach programs in the general community, including leadership of Nashville efforts to focus attention on the crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan.

* Initiating a “Book of Life” program through the Jewish Foundation whereby donors may acknowledge a lifetime of commitment to charitable giving through the creation of permanent legacy gifts to Nashville-based or affiliated Jewish institutions.

By “Living Generously” to both the Annual Campaign and the Jewish Foundation,

your gift truly does a world of good.
